Williamsville Art Society
The Williamsville Art Society was established in 1953 for the purpose of exhibiting local artist’s talents and promoting fine art in all media. It’s about people and their talents in many facets of fine art.
The Society’s purpose is to stimulate the creation of original art and to encourage art appreciation. Our membership is open to all interested in our purposes and activities. Monthly meetings have art demonstrations as well as exchanges of ideas.
Each year, the Society has two non-juried showings, one in the Fall and one in the Spring. Awards are presented at our shows in the categories of oil, acrylic, watercolor, and other media.
A Board of Directors consisting of the President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer and nine directors governs the Society. Appointed committee chairpersons include: Show, Program, Publicity, Webmaster, Newsletter, Hospitality, Exhibits and Sunshine committee.
Our Society is open to anyone wishing to pursue his or her interest in art. We welcome new members throughout the year.
