Area artists, and those who appreciate art, are welcome to join the Williamsville Art Society. There are no residency requirements. A Basic Membership is $30.00 per year, which affords our members numerous benefits.

• Meetings are held on the 2nd Friday of each month at 7 p.m., from September-June (excluding December and February) These are held at the Harlem Road Community Center, 4255 Harlem Rd, Amherst, NY, near Main Street. Following a brief business meeting, informational presentations are provided by area artists and followers.

• The Williamsville Art Society newsletter, “The Palette”, informs members of upcoming events, demonstrations, show information and exhibit opportunities. This is provided each month via email and on the website. Only those with no access to email can opt for US mail delivery.

• Shows are presented in the fall and spring of each year. Monetary prizes are awarded to winners in various categories. Both shows are non-juried and open to all members in good standing for a nominal entry fee. Opening receptions are held for each show. Members are expected to participate with preparation and other show responsibilities.

• Featured Artist pages are part of the Williamsville Art Society website. All members are encouraged to be Featured Artists.*

Each page showcases the artists work, contact information a brief artist statement and a link to the individual's own website.

Any member in good standing is eligible to become a Featured Artist. While working closely with our Webmaster, they have the option to establish, renew or change their page. To view examples of current pages, visit the website and click on “Featured Artists”.

 

Dues are due by September 30th, and must be paid to participate in the fall show. Individuals joining after September 30th, but prior to March 31, shall be eligible to enter the spring show, provided annual dues are paid upon joining.
